Thank you again to all the parents who came to our first Home and School Meeting of the year!  I hope we will have an even better turnout for our next meeting on November 17th. I want to thank my husband, Angelo Grasso, for cooking a delicious meal and setting up this blog. Thank you to all those who help set up and clean up, may God richly bless you. We also want to thank Pr. Graham for sharing the devotional thought with us admonishing us to walk humbly with God as we seek wisdom in the education of our children.  Ms. Young, we are grateful that you so willingly provided afteschool care as well as supervision during the meeting.

And, of course, thank you Mr. Forsey for helping with all the preparations and walking us through Step up and RenWeb. Please be sure to set up a time to meet with Mr. Forsey if you are having difficulty accessing RenWeb.  If you're tired of looking for pizza change or lunch money, then RenWeb will be a relief because you can order your student's lunch and have it charged to your account!

Make sure, if you haven't already, and are interested, to visit the Step Up website and apply for the income-based scholarships ASAP. Link provided on right hand side.

Additional issues discussed were before/after-school care and vegetarian lunches.

1. Unfortunately, the budget does not allow the school to hire someone to provide before or after school care, especially if only 1-2 families will use it.  We discussed a few ideas with parents present. One idea involves families helping one another with pick up/child care. Another parent also suggested using YMCA to pick up for after-school program at their facility. We welcome more ideas!

2. A few parents are finding it difficult to provide vegetarian lunches. Next week we will meet with
the school board to propose allowing students to bring "clean meats" only and no sharing to accommodate these families. We will update you!

Have a wonderful week! Let us continue to lift up our school in prayer.
Feel free to contact me with any comments, concerns, questions, etc.

In His Service,
Kathy
